Welcome to Dharma’s Way Goldens! We are a kennel-free facility located just south of Kansas City, MO. We specialize in AKC registered English cream goldens and American/English crosses with an emphasis on health, longevity, and great personalities. The stellar looks come from our amazing bloodlines!
Our puppies are whelped and raised right in our home with us so they receive lots of love and care from the minute they are born. Not long after they come into the world, they are handled and have exposure to all sorts of noises, experiences, children, as well as many other doggie and kitty friends. As the weeks progress after birth, the puppies go through the “puppy culture” program with different learning objectives each week. This helps them become the best, socialized pups that they can possibly be when they go home to their furever families! Although it’s hard to believe, puppies will start potty training right around three weeks of age. This helps me keep them as fluffy and clean as possible, and get them to you with some good manners already in place.
HEALTH:
All of my adult dogs come from champion bloodlines and are screened for multiple genetic diseases including PRA 1, PRA 2, PRCA, NCL, and ichthyosis. Other health tests include hip, eye, elbow and cardiac certifications through the OFA to ensure our puppies have the best chance at inheriting these healthy characteristics so they are set for a happy and healthy life. Most of my dogs will also undergo another test known as a PENNHIP so that I have additional information about how I can make positive breeding selections to eradicate hip dysplasia.
GUARANTEE:
By the time your puppy arrives in your arms, your new pal will have all necessary vaccinations up to date, as well as several dewormings completed. Your new friend will also come home with a microchip that is ready to be registered with your name and information and their AKC paperwork. Pups come with a two year guarantee that covers genetic health issues.
While we know that every effort will be made on your part to provide an amazing home environment for your new puppy, we understand that life can sometimes bring about unforeseen circumstances. If you are ever unable to keep your golden for any reason, Dharma’s way will take the dog back into our care. We will never burden our dogs with the fate of being put in a shelter, and they will always have a home with us regardless of circumstance. See our contract pages for more information.
