Puppy Training Deposit and Schedule

 

To Hold a spot for class: $500 non-refundable deposit

$1700 final payment for lil’ Trekker due three days before class is due to begin. 

 

** If owner chooses next class then, 

 

Final payment of $1800 due for Trail blazers 3 days in advance of class starting at 12 weeks of age.  

 

Puppy Training Agreement

 

This agreement (“Agreement”), dated as of  __________________, 20__ (the “Effective Date”), is

 

between Joanna Burress (“Breeder”), and ____________________________ (“Buyer”). The subject of this Agreement are  the below-described puppy/dog (“puppy/dog”) training classes.  

 

Training programs requested:

• Lil’ Trekkers $2200

​

Potty training and individual crate training, Sleeping through the night, Basic household manners, Bite inhibition, Basic socialization, handling and grooming, Traveling in vehicles, Sit, down, introduction to the leash, Come when called and his/her name, Wait patiently for meals, "Follow me", Gentle verbal redirecting

*Puppies in this class will receive a leash, collar, crate and appropriate vaccines

• Trail Blazers $1800 (must have purchased first class)

 

All previously learned obedience, Using a doggy door, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Longer stays/longer distances, Recalls from longer distances, On your bed, Bring, drop-it, leave it

*Puppies in this class will also receive a personal bed to go home with and additional vaccines

***Both programs will include a training session or DVD to teach new owners their dogs new tricks!

 

The Breeder and Buyer agree as follows:

 

1. Deposit. A non-refundable deposit of $500 (“Deposit”) shall be due and paid to Breeder upon execution of this Agreement.  The Deposit shall be applied to the final price of  Lil’ Trekkers training class.  

 

1. Purchase Price.  The full purchase price of $_2200__(less $500 deposit) (“Purchase Price”) for the Lil’ Trekkers class is agreed with the balance due in full at least 3 days in advance of the purchased puppy turning eight weeks of age.  This shall be required before any training will start.  All payments must be made to the breeder’s Good Dog Account by a personal link that will be sent beforehand.

 

• If the buyer decides on continuing classes and chooses to move into the trail blazers class, The class price of $1800  will be due in full three days before the puppy turns twelve weeks old and classes begin.  

  

 

REFUNDS:  After the final payments have been made for either Lil Trekkers or Trail blazers classes and training has begun, NO refunds will be given.  

 

DISCLAIMER:  When you pick up your puppy after one of our training programs, he or she is going to have learned a lot of new things.  However, Dharma’s Way Golden Retrievers emphasizes the fact that all puppies will exit the training with different strengths, and it is impossible to fully guarantee they will perform any command perfectly.  Although we have set goals for these puppies, the two programs provided are meant to be a foundational start to continued training throughout the dog’s lifetime.   Success will be highly dependent on the new family’s willingness to follow the training tools given to them by the breeder.  

 

While we work with puppies on potty training starting at three weeks of age,  please note that puppies are not fully mature enough to hold their bladders for an extended period of time until they are at least seven months old.  Bowel control typically comes sooner.   Although older puppies may do very well most of the time, an accident is not out of the ordinary on occasion; therefore the breeder can give no guarantee as to the success the puppy has with potty training when they are with their new family.  This is dependent on routine, habit, and the puppy learning the new environment when it goes home to you.   

 

TEACHING- Breeder agrees to provide either a thirty minute in-person tutorial on skills that have been taught, or to provide a DVD that buyers can watch at home.  

 

CONTINUED VETERINARY CARE: Breeder agrees to continue with veterinary care as needed when a puppy is staying with us for training.  For LiL’ trekkers, this will include an additional Parvo/Distemper/Adeno virus booster at approximately nine and twelve weeks of age.  Puppies that stay with us for the Trail Blazers class will be boostered again with all necessary vaccines, including Rabies, by the breeder’s veterinarian.  While dogs that finish the Trailblazer class will be considered fully inoculated until they are one year old, you should always check with your veterinarian to see if your dog needs additional non-core vaccines dependant on your dog’s lifestyle.
